Village of Lindenhurst was originally named Breslau when it was
formally dedicated in 1870. The Village was later
incorporated in 1923.

any home improvement project!
Especially, any outside alterations or any changes regarding
living space. If you are not sure if you need a Building Permit,
call the Building Department at 631-957-7512. They will be glad to
assist you!
Did You Know?
If your request for a Building Permit
is turned down, you may apply for a Variance with the Board of
Zoning Appeals. You may obtain the forms in Village Hall in our
Building Department. Be sure to allow at least 3 months between
the initial application and your final approval of your variance
(if granted).
