 Village Acquires Emergency Portable Generator

 With the assistance of Assemblyman Robert Sweeney in obtaining a New York State Community Capital Assistance Grant the Village of Lindenhurst has purchased a mobile Triton MMG55 – 50 kW John Deere emergency generator. 

The generator is on a permanent trailer so that Village personnel can bring it to any Village facility during an emergency power outage.  Mayor Thomas Brennan stated, “This generator will greatly enhance the Village’s emergency preparedness.  During an emergency, we will be able to restore power to our Department of Public Works, Village Hall or a firehouse in a matter of minutes with this device.”  Pictured here are (L-R) Deputy Administrator Douglas Madlon, Clerk-Treasurer Shawn Cullinane, Village Trustee Maryann Weckerle, Highway Crew Leader Tom Schirmuhly and Mayor Brennan.
