Village of Lindenhurst Announces ‘Good Citizen Award’

Award Program Launched To Recognize Outstanding Citizens

Village of Lindenhurst Mayor Tom Brennan is proud to announce the Village’s Good Citizen Award to recognize the good deeds of residents that go on throughout the Village.

Mayor Brennan states, “We want to bring to light those that make a difference in our community, and give them the recognition they deserve. Whether it is a neighbor helping a neighbor, a camp counselor who builds self esteem for our children or civic leader that goes the extra mile to beautify their neighborhood, the Village wants to say thank you.”

Trustee Michael Lavorata, the Mayor’s Program Liaison adds, “Time and again we are made aware of contributions that our Village Residents perform, so we wanted to give back and show our appreciation.”

The program will require nominators to fill out an application which they can obtain on the Village’s Website at www.VillageofLindenhurst.com under ‘online forms’ or they can contact Anthony Manetta, program coordinator at amanetta@VillageofLindenhurst.com.
